Private Yoga Lessons

There may be multiple reasons for seeking out a private yoga lesson and in fact this was the traditional way that yoga was originally taught from teacher to student one on one.

The most common way we see yoga practiced today is in a studio environment with many classes and styles of yoga to choose from. While this may be helpful in ways such as it is convenient, we gain motivation from the group and are lead through a practice by a teacher without us having to think.

However, there is a greater opportunity for progression and growth when you take a more personalised approach to yoga. Being led one on one in a practice offers a unique opportunity to truly support the needs of your mind and body and progress at a pace that is suitable for you rather than moving at the pace of the group or trying to fit into a “style” of yoga.

During a private session with Kim, you will gain the opportunity to learn what movements (asanas) will benefit you, ask questions, and have the practice tailored for your optimal benefit. Breathing practices (pranayama) are tailored to your capabilities, current health and understanding and other yogic techniques such as sound/meditation introduced where appropriate.
