Yoga must be made to suit the individual, not the individual to suit the yoga.

Yoga Therapy/ Private Yoga Session- Private practice for Individual Needs
There may be multiple reasons for seeking out a private yoga session and in fact this was the traditional way that yoga was originally taught from teacher to student one on one.
The most common way we see yoga practiced today is in a studio environment with many classes and styles of yoga to choose from. While this may be helpful in the way you can find support in a group, using this for motivation, or handing over to the teacher and be told what to do without having to think.
However there is a greater opportunity for progression and growth when you take a more personalised approach to yoga. Practicing on your own offers a unique opportunity to truly support the needs of your mind and body and progress at a pace that is suitable for you and your current needs.
Yoga Therapy is a holistic form of healing which utilises the entire spectrum of Yoga practices and the wisdom of Ayurveda to effect health and healing on an individual basis. Rather than only treating the specific health concern, yoga Therapy considers the whole person who they are and how they are affected.
While yoga in general can be considered a therapeutic practice, the very nature of a group class is more directed to the group as a whole and may not be suitable for those presenting specific injuries or health concerns rather than the individuals needs.
