Registered Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner (RAAP) / Vaidya – AAPNA equivalent to a BAMS Ayurvedic Doctor and is a highly accomplished Ayurvedic Practitioner with over 17 years of clinical experience and a reputation for excellence and integrity. Known for upholding an authentic Ayurvedic clinical approach, with a strong interest in pathophysiology. Scott addresses a broad spectrum of health challenges, addressing imbalances across physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. His expertise are sought after by clients both locally and interstate.
Scott began his journey in Ayurveda in 2007, completing the Ayurvedic Clinical Diet and Lifestyle Consultant course, Advanced Diploma in Ayurveda under the guidance of Dr. Ajit at the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies (AIAS) and has worked in an Ayurvedic hospital in India to further refine his clinical experience.
Scott has a Diploma in Western Herbal Medicine and has undertaken further studies in nutrition and iridology, reflecting the breadth and depth of his education. In addition, he holds a Diploma in Svastha Yoga Teaching, with a deep foundation in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras as taught by Sri Krishnamacharya. Scott is pursuing advanced studies in Western medical science, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to integrative and evidence-informed practice.
Scott is a Registered Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner (RAAP) / Vaidya with the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA). This designation represents one of the highest international credentials in the field of Ayurveda, requiring over 4,000 hours of education, including clinical training equivalent to a BAMS degree. As a RAAP, Scott’s scope of practice includes the ability to assess imbalances according to this level of training, construct personalised health interventions, and offer traditional Ayurvedic therapies. He has a strong understanding of Ayurvedic pathophysiology and works alongside modern medical professionals where appropriate, always within ethical and legal frameworks.
Scott served as the former President of the International Council of Ayurvedic Medicine (ICAM), where he played a pivotal role in promoting safe and ethical practice standards for Ayurveda in Australia. Working alongside CEO Dr. Ajit and Richard Clarke, he was instrumental in the development of clinical protocols and professional development initiatives for Ayurvedic practitioners. His leadership in this space reflects his commitment to upholding the highest standards in Ayurvedic healthcare
