Description
Hing, heeng or asafoetida, is a resin obtained from the root of the Ferula assa-foetida plant, and is used in Ayurvedic cooking and some herbal preparations. Hing has a pungent flavour and smell and is used for cooking some vegetable and legumes dishes, also beneficial if you suffer from indigestion and bloating as it helps to ease these symptoms.
