Scott and Kim Allan are the founders and owner operators of The Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy Clinic, the only clinic of its kind on the Sunshine Coast and in Australia. At the Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy Clinic, we take Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda to the highest level in Australia. Scott Allan is a highly accomplished Ayurvedic Practitioner with over 17 years of clinical experience and a well established reputation for excellence, integrity, and authentic practice. He is known for upholding a classical Ayurvedic clinical approach while integrating a strong background in Biomedical Science (BMS), giving him a unique depth of understanding in human physiology, pathophysiology, and what happens when disease, infection and clinical disorders occur with evidence-informed care. Scott addresses a broad spectrum of health challenges, supporting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and is sought after by clients both locally and interstate.

Scott began his Ayurvedic journey in 2007, completing the Ayurvedic Clinical Diet and Lifestyle Consultant course and the Advanced Diploma in Ayurveda under the guidance of Dr. Ajit at the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies (AIAS). To further refine his clinical skills, he trained in an Ayurvedic hospital in India. His academic foundation also includes a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BMS) , enriching his clinical insight and strengthening his integrative approach to modern and traditional health sciences.

Scott holds a Diploma in Western Herbal Medicine and has undertaken additional studies in nutrition and iridology, reflecting both the breadth and depth of his education. He also holds a Diploma in Svastha Yoga Teaching, grounded in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras as taught by Sri Krishnamacharya.

Scott is a Registered Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner (RAAP) / Vaidya with the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA). This designation represents one of the highest international credentials in Ayurveda, requiring more than 4,000 hours of education, including clinical training equivalent to a BAMS degree. As a RAAP, Scott’s scope of practice includes advanced assessment of imbalances, developing personalised Ayurvedic treatment plans, and providing traditional therapeutic interventions. He collaborates with modern medical professionals when appropriate, always within ethical and legal frameworks.

Beyond his clinical work, Scott has played a significant role in advancing Ayurvedic standards in Australia. As former President of the International Council of Ayurvedic Medicine (ICAM), he worked closely with CEO Dr. Ajit and Richard Clarke to develop clinical protocols, practitioner education, and safe practice standards. Scott was also selected to contribute to the World Health Organization (WHO) in developing global Ayurveda training benchmarks an honour reflecting his expertise and leadership.

Deeply committed to family and community wellbeing, Scott supports parents in nurturing the health of their children and infants, offering holistic strategies grounded in both classical Ayurvedic tradition and modern biomedical understanding. His approach blends ancient wisdom with practical, evidence-informed care delivered with compassion, clarity, and precision.

Kim Allan – Senior Registered Svastha Yoga Teacher, Registered Certified Yoga Therapist, Ayurvedic Consultant

Kim has been practicing yoga since her school years and teaching for over 20 years, embodying a lifelong dedication to preserving and sharing the most traditional forms of Yoga. She is a registered Senior Yoga Teacher and a certified Registered Yoga Therapist, holding senior accreditation with Yoga Australia.
Kim’s training is rooted in the classical tradition, having studied one-on-one with her teacher to learn the true essence of Yoga. This personalised and traditional method of teaching, which is rarely practiced in today’s modern Yoga education, allowed her to absorb the deeper philosophy and practices of Yoga in an increasingly uncommon way. This unique background has equipped her to teach and apply Yoga in its most authentic and impactful form. She continues to enhance her expertise through professional development in Exercise Science, ensuring her approach remains comprehensive, analytical and well versed in clinical observational techniques in regards to body posture and musculoskeletal disorders makes for a well rounded, intergrative approach guiding her patients from rehabilitation to pain free health.

Kim conducts private Yoga Therapy sessions and group classes, using her extensive studies and personal skill set to assist individuals in improving their health. Her expertise ranges from addressing back pain, reducing stress, and supporting the elderly in enhancing their quality of life, to helping clients recover from injuries or surgeries through Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic treatments a truly effective and raley found method. With over 20 years of experience as a therapist, Kim is highly skilled in delivering Ayurvedic therapies and treatments. She is co-owner of the Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy Clinic, the only Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic clinic in Australia alongside Scott Allan, assisting with Ayurvedic treatments and wellness programs.
Kim is passionate about empowering her clients and students to lead healthy, happy, and independent lives, particularly in their later years. She strives to uphold the authentic and traditional practices of Yoga in all her teachings, blending this with the principles of Ayurveda.
