This 8 week course starting on April 19th held on Monday evenings is yoga taught in the tradition of Krishnamachyra traditional yoga, a practice with emphasis on the breath as a guide to the movements. This class is suitable for those looking for accessible yoga with a gradual and progressive teaching method for the individual. This is an opportunity to learn the fundamental practices of yoga through the breath, sound/mantra and mental wellbeing along with the physical benefits. A complete practice.

These classes will run in a progressive manner every Monday night with 45 minutes spent on breath based Asana practice finishing with 15 minute pranayama/meditation.

Classical yoga movements/ postures are taught to enable strength of the spine, back and posture to support the body when learning specific breathing practices (pranayama) to destress and rejuvenate the body and calm the mind and nervous system.

This course comes with weekly take home practices to enhance and encourage what is learnt each week during class and take home notes to further support your own sense of wellbeing and understanding.

Classes will be held at the St Marks Church Hall in Buderim and bookings are essential.

Plenty of space to practice but numbers are limited due to social distancing.

 

 

Your Teacher – Kim Allan a certified Yoga Therapist and Senior registered Svastha Yoga Teacher with over 15yrs teaching experience will be taking you through the classes each week. Kim is passionate about the traditional practices and teachings of yoga and Ayurveda and specialises in working with individuals and small therapeutic group classes Using her knowledge of Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda Kim takes the classes back to its authentic roots and to assist students develop physical and spiritual awareness.

Kim teaches small group yoga for wellbeing classes , Therapeutic Yoga classes and private sessions at the Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy Clinic. She also works as an Ayurvedic Consultant and highly experienced therapist at the centre assisting Scott with all the treatments and therapies for their clients.
