Are you looking for a yoga class where you will learn an authentic and traditional approach to yoga?
A teaching style that honours yoga as a practice for the mind, body, spirit and a complete discipline?
Yoga is a practice of self discovery a path of personal transformation where we get to discover a deeper sense of our true self beyond the mind, body and senses. A sincere application to a yoga practice gives us the opportunity to experience this path of personal transformation and reduce the afflictions of the mind, body and emotions so we can move towards our true potential.
Thank you for looking into the yoga that we offer here at the clinic.
The primary focus we offer here at the Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy Clinic is Yoga Therapy sessions taught one on one a personalised approach to a yoga practice with a weekly Yoga Therapy group class. Other classes and programs are on offer periodically through out the year.
The yoga is taught primarily from the tradition of Sri T Krishnamacharya which emphasises the importance of breath, accessible postures, sound/mantra as a tool for mental clarity/steadiness and an individualised approach.
The group class is held at St Marks Church Hall Buderim every Wednesday and is suitable for those looking to practice yoga in a therapeutic setting. Functional movements (postures) are taught to promote improved structural alignment, back health and improved mobility/agility, along with, breath work, pranayama and meditation practices.
Classes are also suitable for those wishing to learn other aspects of yoga outside of the physical postures ie yoga philosophy. Attending class will assist in you learning how yoga can be applied practically to your life as a complete discipline in a progressive manner for the long term.
These classes are an excellent starting point for those wanting to learn yoga in a supportive environment for stress reduction, mental wellbeing, improved strength, mobility or enjoy a small group environment for enhanced learning.
